Whether a review is positive, negative, or neutral, we always publish it. However, we screen every review to ensure it is authentic and free of profanity. These checks happen automatically, though a human occasionally steps in. We never pay for reviews.
Others might call it their finest. I wouldn't go quite that far, but it's definitely an auditory delight. Great pressing with a deep, rich soundstage. Happy to grab it in such good shape for how old it is.
This record deserves a 5-star rating, but I've got to say, it's quite low in volume. You've got to turn it up and boost the bass to get it sounding decent, but not quite "amazing". The High and Dry reissue, for instance, sounds way better. That said, I'm still glad to have it. The cover's a nice touch and the vinyl itself is top-notchβno surface noise, clean, and flat. I reckon it sounds just as good as the original press. It's just a shame it was made before Def Leppard blew up and started getting better production on their tunes.
Awesome album, a must-have for any collection. First album, really hard rock.
