I'm absolutely in love with this album, and I'm so happy I chose to invest in the original rather than a reissue – the sound quality is truly outstanding.
Sure, I get that purists go on and on about their first three records (and they've got every right to, they're fantastic). But let's face it, living up to 'Hysteria' was always gonna be tough. Some folks can't stand its poppy production, but I'm all about it—it's an album that's stuck with me since my younger days. Just got a reissue, but if you can snag an original, don't think twice. This album's a total blast and has held up incredibly well. A true auditory delight for any DL enthusiast!
It's no shock that Bob Ludwig delivered an amazing mastering job for such a stunning track. It's got a great punch, a broad soundstage, and crystal-clear clarity.
Like many picture discs from back then, this one's got a bit of surface noise on the vinyl. But it's only real noticeable when there's no music playin'. Once the tunes kick in, it sounds absolutely fantastic.
