super quiet pressing, no probs here! so happy to have this on vinyl at last
VMP has truly outdone themselves with this release. While a gatefold would've been a nice addition, the outer sleeve they provided features gold foil lettering, which is a really cool detail. I'm a huge fan of this gold/shimmery color variant, having it on a few other records (most notably Leon Bridges) and always being impressed by it. Normally, I don't pay much attention to color variations. As for the sound, I can't find any faults here. Listening to this album was like stepping back into my first year of high school. It's a bit unsettling to revisit those awkward teenage years, but playing this record brought back only fond memories. I've never experienced this album sounding this good. The pressing is super quiet, with plenty of space in the mix and a fantastic attack. The tracks just leap out of the speakers. If you're a certain age, even if we've moved on from this sound, this should be a truly rewarding listen. It definitely was for me. Equipment used: * Rega Planar 6 * Rega Exact cartrige* Rega Elex-R * Dali Oberon 5* Blue Jeans Cables + interconnects* All LPs cleaned on Project VC-E
Really happy I got mine, the pressing I received sounds fantastic, absolutely perfect with zero noise. 10/10 for this VMP release.
Has anyone else noticed some hirsh/light pops and crackles between the tracks and in the runout groove? It's mainly on record 1, side 1. If you have, please share your experience.
Sound is decent but mine has a bit of audio clipping
