Whether a review is positive, negative, or neutral, we always publish it. However, we screen every review to ensure it is authentic and free of profanity. These checks happen automatically, though a human occasionally steps in. We never pay for reviews.
This album, put out in 1967, includes tracks from sessions that took place in May 1958 (tracks 1 & 4 on side one), April 1960 (tracks 2 & 3 on side one), and March 1961 (all of side two). My version has a "PREVIEW ONLY" promo stamp at the top of the back cover, which aligns with this description. Interestingly, every track is in stereo, even though it's not labeled as such. The inner groove details also match this account, and the PRST likely stands for "PRestige STereo," making me wonder if this was ever released in mono. The sound quality is impressive, another warm and intimate recording from the Van Gelder Studio. My copy plays back smoothly, with some faint surface noise and a few ticks near the end of "Chapped Chops.

This pressing sounds fantastic, another warm, personal recording from the Van Gelder Studio. My copy plays smoothly, with some faint surface noise here and there, and a few ticks towards the end of "Chapped Chops".
