Awesome sounding cassette. Dug this one up from storage. Still sounds fantastic. Legendary album.
Stunning vinyl record! Among the handful of Ramones albums I'm missing an original pressing of in my collection. This one really rocks. Great sound balance with a pounding kick drum and crisp snare. Not overly bright, so the guitars cut through without sounding harsh. You can turn this one up loud!
Listen up all you die-hard Ramones followers, don't wait to grab this before it becomes outrageously priced! This is hands-down the best sounding TTTD version out there, even better than the original and the remaster. Kudos to whoever made this happen!
Just as the label states: Made In Czech Republic (blah, blah, blah)
In my opinion, Too Tough To Die stands out as the most overlooked gem in the Ramones' discography. It's got all the classic Ramones elements that make them who they are! The production quality is top-notch, rich and a joy to listen to, all thanks to the stellar work of studio producers Ed Stasium and Tommy Ramone. Lyrically, this album takes the Ramones' songwriting to new heights, with tracks like Chasing The Night and Danger Of Love showcasing a fresh yet captivating approach. But don't worry, the punk spirit is still alive and kicking, and it's as punk as hell. Songs like Mama's Boy, Wart Hog, Danger Zone and Human Kind are pure, unadulterated Ramones fun. Musically, this is the band's most sonically diverse album. Sure, it's a mix of Hardcore Punk, but to my ears, there's more to it. You can catch hints of New Wave (Chasing the Night, Howling At The Moon) and Post Punk (Planet Earth 1988 and Danger Of Love). It's a beautiful blend of everything that made punk rock so incredible in the late 70s through the mid 80s. This album has something for everyone, and I'd highly recommend it to any punk rock enthusiast or anyone with a soft spot for the nostalgia of the genre.
