I managed to snag the 0700 edition. Over the moon to finally have it. I was convinced I'd never get my hands on it after it sold out on Amazon.
Coming in at number 390! I'm super curious about how many copies were produced. I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and say 2k? 👀
Honestly, this is fantastic, much less squished than the CD version. There's a slight drop in quality towards the inner circles, but it's not a big deal, I've noticed this in other vinyl releases from the mid-2000s.
This 15-year celebration version comes on a pair of LPs. The pressing is spotless, no hissing or pops to be heard. The sound quality is decent, but honestly, it could be so much better for a Mariah Carey album, the pop queen herself! I reckon it might've been squashed too much during the digital recording and mastering process. Fingers crossed for a future vinyl drop with the "Original Master Recording" – that'd be the bee's knees!
This album is an absolute work of art. This box set is truly outstanding. The vinyl and the packaging are both... simply stunning. 🦋
