The audio quality is fantastic for a picture disc! I couldn't even pick up on any hiss or crackle.
The music is fantastic, but I've got a small issue – the hidden track isn't hidden well enough. On side 3, there's loads of space left for them to have added a longer pause than just five seconds before it starts.
I owned this album on CD, and I can say this vinyl pressing is fantastic. The clarity is preserved, but the dynamic range and tonal balance are significantly improved, making it sound just as it should. The guitars on this album are incredible, and the vinyl really brings out their crisp, buzzy highs perfectly.
I owned this album on CD, and I must say, this vinyl pressing is fantastic! The clarity is just as good, but the dynamic range and tone balance are so much better. It's like hearing the music as it was meant to be heard. The guitars on this album are incredible, and the vinyl really brings out their buzzing highs perfectly.
This reissue isn't the best sounding, but it's really well done for what it is. Compared to my three cheers press and danger days versions, this one's audiophile quality. The main reason it sounds so much better is that it has life to it and grabs your attention with a much more dynamic sound than my other mcr records, which feel lifeless and dull. That said, it's not perfect and can have a certain fuzzy quality to Gerard’s vocals and the pianos, but it's not a major issue. The Smokey vinyl looks really nice and the discs themselves are perfectly flat with zero surface noise. Overall not perfect but really good for what it is. It is an odd choice that they kept the 10th anniversary etching for this pressing even though this is years after but it still looks cool. This is definitly worth your money but don’t pay the prices on here, as of June 2022 it is still in stock on UO’s website!
