This pressing appears to be quite uneven. The initial copy I received had some truly awful scratches on the 1st and 2nd tracks and >1in seam tears in the cover. It took some toing and froing, but Arts & Crafts sent me a replacement and, while it's not entirely perfect, it's amazing how fantastic it sounds. Easily the best I've ever heard this fantastic album sound. Quality control problems aside, if you can find this for list price or you can confirm the used copy is one of the good ones, I'd absolutely recommend grabbing it.
This release completely slipped under my radar in November 2022. I usually keep up with upcoming releases, checking in about twice a week, but I didn't catch wind of this one at all. I've actually had my eye on this LP for a while now, adding it to my wantlist some time ago. The sound quality of this pressing is fantastic! I've never been able to snag the original pressing due to the inflated prices, so I can't compare it just yet. But this pressing sounds amazing, and I'm about to give it another spin. I've only noticed the tiniest bit of artifact noise, and I think that might be more from static than the vinyl itself. When I scanned the barcode, it didn't bring up this specific entry. Instead, it pulled up two older entries from the first and possibly second pressings. But not this one. I finally checked the etching on the dead wax, searched for that, and that's how I found this entry. Any ideas why the barcode scan, which is the same as the older pressings, didn't pull up this newer reissue? I've had the 2 LP Limited Edition version of Let It Die with the extra tracks for about a year now. I don't remember if it was an RSD release or just what the story is on that one. But I have to say that even though it sounds incredible too, I think this copy might sound even better. I bought a new copy of Let It Die from a Discogs seller just two weeks ago. It's supposed to be the second pressing, but it hasn't arrived yet. This was before I picked up this copy from the November 2022 reissue from a Canadian record company for an even better price. The price had dropped significantly here on Discogs, but I still paid about twice as much buying it from the Discogs seller. I'm hoping the one I'm waiting for is indeed the older pressing so I can compare the two and make sure I didn't get taken for a ride! Hopefully, it will arrive any day now. Feist is an amazing artist with such a stunning voice. I first heard her around 2007, and it didn't take long, especially after discovering live shows and other recordings not available for sale, for her to become my favorite female singer. Since then, I've collected a lot of her music and even tracks she's done with other groups. I can't quite describe it, but her melodies and way of singing just resonate with me. She has such a beautiful voice! So much emotion and experience is poured into it. I'm really glad I was able to get this recent reissue of Let It Die. Even if it means I end up with two copies and paid double for one of them :-) We need to get this barcode to pull up this entry along with the others when scanned. And again, it seems they all share the same barcode. Bootradr
My version has this annoying, high-pitched metallic noise in the back that kinda vibrates with the high notes, making it super difficult to enjoy the music. Fingers crossed it's just my copy.
Awesome album, TERRIBLE QUALITY. It was all muffled and distorted right outta the sleeve, really let me down.
Received this copy today. Gorgeous pressing! Rich audio and zero surface noise from dust, even with the paper inner sleeve. Sounds better than my original CD, and I was a fan of the album back then.
We don't have a live price right now, but stock fluctuates daily. You can check for hidden stock on Amazon directly, or let us alert you as soon as it is available.
