Whether a review is positive, negative, or neutral, we always publish it. However, we screen every review to ensure it is authentic and free of profanity. These checks happen automatically, though a human occasionally steps in. We never pay for reviews.
This is my all-time favorite Sabbath record, and that's without Ozzy! The decay on 'Dying for Love' is just incredible. I can't figure out why it's priced so high, but it's an amazing album, top-notch quality—2023 update: just gave it another spin, apart from a couple of pops and crackles, it sounds fantastic. I mean, sure, big amps and speakers help, but man, track 1 on side 2 will show you why this album is so damn good!
I've got the BMG clear vinyl version, and even after giving it a good clean, there's still a bit of surface noise. But apart from that, it's a solid release with a rich sound and a cool lyric sheet. Fun bit of trivia: The cover pic was used a few years prior for the Scorpions' single "Send me an Angel". https://www.discogs.com/de/release/389870-Scorpions-Send-Me-An-Angel I reckon, Tony Iommi wasn't too pleased about it.
The digital print of the artwork is quite low quality and the sleeve is made from recycled material. It's a reversed version of a Russian Crimson Glory bootleg. Despite its appearance, this bootleg has excellent sound quality.
I reckon there are no reviews for this issue because the sellers are desperate to offload it to anyone. ;) The artwork is worn out. The sound quality is poor, with plenty of static pops. It's the quietest vinyl in my collection, like you're always listening at the lowest setting. The bass is the only thing you can hear in the phonogram, which isn't terrible, but to catch the rest, you have to turn down the volume and then the bass starts buzzing. This version is worthless for both fans and collectors alike.
