Here's the rewritten review: "Well, this marks the second occasion I've gotten the new box set. Initially, I went for the English version, and then I tried the German one. Both editions come with the same crappy vinyl, packed with flaws like sticky residues and annoying sounds such as grinding noises and crackling, which seriously messes with enjoying the music. It's incredibly frustrating, especially when you're trying to appreciate the softer parts. I ended up returning both box sets and got my money back, because honestly, most vinyl releases these days are just not up to par. About every third order I have to send back due to these issues. It's truly disheartening and disappointing, so I've decided to stop buying vinyl until they sort out these problems. For now, Blu Ray or CD are, sadly, the better options. Hopefully, these 'Retro times' will wrap up soon.
If you're eager to explore the origins of EDM, Hip Hop, Electro, Krautrock, or electronic music in general, this is a must-have. Or perhaps you already appreciate their significant impact—either way, it's essential. My journey began with "Das Model" (1978, I was 12 and fell off my chair), and I've been hooked ever since. The only drawback for me back then was the lack of danceability; I had to wait another decade for House & Techno to hit the clubs to complete the experience. I attended the "Computer World" concert at Paradiso and was thrilled with the sound quality, which is equally impressive on their records. Excellent stuff. Naturally, you need the German version. Selbstverständlich brauchen Sie den Deutsche Version. And yes, "Radio Activity" includes Japanese language.
Amazing box set featuring 8 discs and a booklet. The sound quality is top-notch. Tracks have been remastered yet stay true to the originals. Fortunately, the bass hasn't been overdone and distorted like many re-releases- why the obsession with a heavy bass that overshadows the rest of the production? It's like drawing a beard on the Venus de Milo. I adore the clean, bare-bones graphic design- simplicity- more is less.
Clearly why the German edition is far more sought after. A must-have.
Fantastic box set with 8 discs and a booklet included. The sound quality is top-notch. The tracks have been remastered, yet they've kept the original's essence intact. I'm glad they didn't overdo the bass like many reissues do - why is there this obsession with a bass that overpowers everything else? It's like drawing a moustache on the Mona Lisa. I'm a fan of the clean, clinical graphic design - minimalism at its best, less is indeed more.
