Decent record if you snag it for a bargain. I grabbed mine at Deep Discount for around six bucks. It's a bit on the bright side, but the packaging and inner sleeve are nice, even if super staticy. Totally worth it for Takin it Back!
Once again, a fantastic sounding Carrollton cut, this time brought to us by Mary K. Curothers. It's got that classic 'turn it up loud' vibe of Carrollton Chet Bennett masters, and the sound quality is even better than my original TML pressing, like they used an earlier generation tape for this one.
Came across two copies in France (Fnac) not long ago and I snatched one up, really well-made pressing too. It's got a red sticker that says "Limited Edition Colour VinylLimited pressing of 500" as well.
It's so simple to criticize Toto. You can't argue though, they're flawless musicians and their production is spotless. They had the bad luck of coming out during the peak of punk and new wave. They also didn't have the cynical and twisted edge like their studio counterparts Steely Danπ
Excellent sounding record, just what you'd anticipate from a TML stamper. You can't tell the difference in sound quality from a TML first pressing.
