I've struck gold again with these 2014 & 2015 Record Store Day and Box-Set drops. Both have been absolutely stellar. The punch, energy, clarity, sound-stage, depth—you name it—it's all top-notch. I'm more of a Greetings fan than the second one, so it gets my vote. But let me tell you, this was next-level awesome. I've still got The River and Born in the USA to play. If they're as good as these two, I'll be grabbing BTR and Darkness from the same set again.
This album is absolutely one of my all-time favs, and "New York City Serenade" is right up there among my most beloved tracks. This particular copy even outdoes my original US pressing in sound quality.
Though mine lacked the hype sticker, I went ahead and bought it since it was pressed in 2014. The dead wax indeed shows Chris Bellman's lacquer, and it's got the MPO stamp with the number etchings mentioned earlier. Super quiet pressing, definitely worth picking up!
I'm a huge Bruce fan, no doubt about it, but this album didn't quite do it for me. I picked it up yesterday, brand new and sealed, but ended up changing my tune. It's an awesome album and an amazing edition. The sound quality is fantastic—no crackles or hiss. It's perfectly smooth. For the price, it's a solid purchase.
I've got this CD too, but mine's got a different Matrix Variant, specifically DIDP 11 +++++ ... just the 11 is printed alone, no extra letters or numbers.
