The only marking on the rear cover of mine is a sticker that says "made in Germany". I placed a pre-order for this edition in Switzerland and got it on 01.09.2022. The first LP, which is blue, is flawless, but the other green LP is a tad warped... That said, it plays exceptionally well on my setup, with clear and powerful sound. I'm really pleased with this new album, kudos to Mr. Mustaine! Setup: Rega planar 1, Philips FA660B, Bose interaudio 4000 XL
The vinyl with color sure delivers on sound. I totally agree with what ethelpalmer mentioned earlier. It's easily one of the finest-sounding records in my collection when it comes to audio quality.
Incredible audio! But where's the download card? Record labels keep squeezing us for more cash. Time to say hi to torrents
I wouldn't exactly call myself a die-hard Megadeth follower, although I did get pretty into Rust In Peace (I even met them during the Clash of the Titans tour and got some autographs). I'm not sure what compelled me to give this album a shot, perhaps the intriguing title (as a hospice worker, I'm around the sick, the dying, and the deceased quite a bit). But I'm genuinely enjoying this record. It's got substance. Diversity. There are some classic riffs, and of course, Mustaine brings that familiar touch, but I'm really appreciating the authenticity and the... breaking away from the usual formula a bit. It's making me wonder what I've missed from their work since I stopped paying attention all those years ago. Well done.
Let me share my thoughts. The track 'Song Junkie', being the last song on side A, is cut short due to the cassette's maximum capacity. This is yet another example of poor quality control in the production of physical media. Additionally, there's a peculiar issue with some low-volume songs at the end of side B after 'We'll be back' finishes. I can't quite make out what they are, but they're definitely only present on the cassette version. The sound quality is decent, but it's noticeably inferior to vinyl and likely even to CD. However, this album sounds pretty good on all formats, so the cassette is probably the least impressive.
