I bought this album with great expectations, but I was somewhat disappointed after my initial listen. The sound seems to lack energy, significantly. It feels like the band's mics are positioned way too far forward, while the band itself is playing from the back. The vinyl is quiet, which I'm pleased about, but I do wish the audio quality was improved. The original Live "73 has much better sound, offering a lot more energy and power. In my opinion, this live pressing doesn't quite deliver, but I'll give it 4 stars for being quiet and featuring a concert full of fantastic music.
I bought this album with great expectations, but I was a tad disappointed after my initial listen. The sound just doesn't have that kick, it's noticeably lacking. It feels like the mics are up front while the band is playing way in the back. The vinyl is quiet, which I'm really pleased about, but I do wish the audio quality was up to par. The original Live "73 has a much better sound, with a lot more punch and power. This live record just doesn't hit the mark for me, but I'll give it 4 stars for being quiet and for the fantastic music throughout the concert.
