As a lover of this album, the vinyl version is truly a significant upgrade from the CD or streaming. It's exceptionally well recorded and absolutely worth purchasing. This version brings so much more depth to this rock opera, which was already great on CD! It's definitely one of my all-time favorites.
Pretty low-key. Good bass response. Doesn't quite match the dynamic range of the digital version, though.
Translated automatically,I purchased this album and wholeheartedly concur with the previous reviewer regarding the messed up flow. The album, as it was meant to be, transitions seamlessly from one track to the next, but this version feels like slamming into a brick wall every few songs, totally ruining the experience. To make matters worse, my copy has the D2/D4 issue (which I hear means it's pressed from a digital copy?), making the D side impossible to listen to. It's a terrible version of a fantastic album. Rough Trade should've addressed this. Really let down.
I got this vinyl in late 2023 and it didn't have that side D problem that people talk about. I gotta say, it sounds really good.
