The audio quality is fantastic, particularly considering it's a late 80s re-release. Back in the day, I bought most of the Beatles' albums when they first came out, and I gotta say, this Purple label reissue is absolutely superb.

The audio quality is really impressive. The resolution could be better, but the sounds are distinctly set apart. I found the high notes in the Japanese version to be quite harsh and painful to my ears. Fortunately, this US version is much more balanced and pleasant to listen to.

While the remixes aren't my cup of tea, the rest of the discs are absolutely brilliant. It's a shame the top-notch mono mix is Blu-ray exclusive. But since I've got a pretty good vinyl version, I can live with it, I suppose.
