I must admit, I was a bit nervous after reading some of the reviews here, but I'm thrilled to say my copy turned out fantastic! It sounds and looks amazing, with superb crispness and clarity. Listening to it on vinyl is an incredible experience. It's a real bummer that some copies got messed up at the Pallas pressing plant though :// P.S. I totally agree with what others have said about the packaging - it's absolutely stunning! If you can snag a copy without any quality issues, I'd definitely recommend this version.
My copy seems to be a calm pressing, but I can see what others mean about the quality and separation. It's not as crisp and dynamic as numerous other albums. Still, it's a good listen. The packaging is fantastic, by the way.
This album is absolutely fantastic, and the overall package is top-notch, from the robust sleeve to the booklet and the artwork. Unfortunately, the pressing is quite subpar. With over 80 minutes of music on this vinyl, and each side exceeding 20 minutes, the result is noticeable distortion on tracks like 'Tell Me You Love Me' and 'America', which culminate in a loud and intricate finale that's completely marred by the distortion. The contrast is striking when you compare it to the digital version. I had high hopes for this album and I'm genuinely let down by the record. This one should've been pressed on 3 LPs or mastered at a lower volume. I can't really give it my recommendation.
From the very start, I was hooked on this album. The smooth vocals blended with the psychedelic beats create a series of laid-back tracks that you can totally get lost in. Plus, it keeps things exciting by throwing in some more intense sounds here and there. In my opinion, this is an awesome album. 4/5
Had to quickly share how AMAZING the packaging is, the sleeve is thick and tough like a box, the printed inner sleeves are also heavy-duty cardboard, one came with a seam tear sadly, but still, the material is super tough, the flattened edges on the records are a nice detail too! awesome work AKR 💜
