This is a really enjoyable Yes concert video. The band's performance is excellent, though perhaps not quite as outstanding as their shows from the 70s. Still, it's very impressive. The audio and video quality is superior to many of their previous concert videos, like Yessongs or Live in Buffalo. In this regard, it's definitely worth any Yes fan's time! I've heard that Symphonic Live is also very good (possibly even better?). However, the selection of great Yes live videos isn't vast, so I consider this one of the better ones in my collection so far. Unfortunately, I don't have access to the Blu-Ray version of this concert, which probably has an even better picture. Cutting the lengthy "Rituals" piece from the main concert was a smart move. I found the main program's length to be just right for me. I couldn't bring myself to watch "Rituals" after the main concert, but it's still included on the disk, so you won't miss this crucial part of Topographic Oceans. The interview with Roger Dean is interesting, but not essential. The same goes for the second disk with the concert in Switzerland. These two features are really "for diehard fans only". You probably won't miss much if you opt for another version of this album.
Like many Yes records produced by Eagles, the balance is off (though it's an improvement over the Montreux concert). It's as if their engineers have never listened to Yes before and can't figure out how to mix them right. The same issue applies to the video and the CD.
