Whether a review is positive, negative, or neutral, we always publish it. However, we screen every review to ensure it is authentic and free of profanity. These checks happen automatically, though a human occasionally steps in. We never pay for reviews.
What's the deal with these Canadian green label pressings, eh? Words words
Yet another amazing AP reissue! If you're as big a fan of Smiley Smile as I am, I'd definitely suggest picking up both the mono and stereo versions. They both sound fantastic and each one has its own unique charm.
This album is a real letdown and a pathetic try to go head-to-head with the Beatles' trippy tunes. The only decent tracks here are "Good Vibrations" and "Heroes and Villains." The rest is just nonsense brought on by drugs. Super irritating stuff here. I Honestly Only picked this up for the best-sounding Stereo vinyl version of "Good Vibrations." And for that, it totally delivers. But with Bass that's way too heavy! And way too much surface noise for an Analogue Productions “Audiophile” release. And my copy came warped. Even Acoustic Sounds is cutting corners on quality control these days. No surprise there. Anyway, this is nowhere near as impressive as the AP pressings of their earlier work.
Amazing! The sound is so quiet and the details are fantastic. I wasn't sure about buying this at first since it's my first mono record, but I'm really happy I did. It played great even without a special mono cartridge.
I'm really into this one! B
