This one's got the same master as prior versions, with a few tracks mixed differently than the digital/streaming variants. The 45 RPM sound quality is fantastic, and my copy has minimal noise or pops. Side D does have some sibilance problems, particularly on "Mona Lisa" and a bit on "Is There Really No Happiness," which was a tad distracting. But overall, it's another stellar pressing of the album.
Absolutely love the sound! This version is just fantastic! <3 :D :)
Wow, this pressing is stunning! Super crisp and clear, no (fresh) STATIC (snow) noise at all. Yeah, I did it again...
This album is amazing. It sounds even greater on vinyl 🙏🙏
This is truly awesome, but I'm not entirely convinced it's worth the cost. First off, the pink part of the box set's face has some noticeable bleed through in the black areas behind it. It might seem like a minor thing to complain about, but it really affects the cover's look. The rest of the packaging is fantastic though: it's huge (I have no idea where or how I'm going to show it off), the case details are great, and the small zipper figure is pretty neat. As for what's inside, it's not anything extraordinarily special. I didn't get one of the signed prints, but I wasn't expecting to anyway. The pressing quality is good, the art/lyric book is a nice addition, and the Cheerleader 7" sounds great, even if the "Radio Edit" on the B-side is a bit unnecessary. My main issue with the contents is the 7". For a $130 set, not having a back cover on the Cheerleader 7" was a big disappointment. They couldn't even put some basic text or something on the back? Seriously? Again, this might just bother me specifically, but it really did dampen my overall enjoyment of the box set. Overall, a really cool package with some cool extras, but honestly, it doesn't offer enough to justify the $130 price tag for a 40 minute album in my opinion.
