this re-press is simply out of this world, nothing to complain about. Oliver Nelson and his amazing jazz crew put on a breathtaking show of musical talent and songwriting genius, all packed into a gorgeous gatefold.
This LP sounds fantastic! But I was let down by the cover. It's so flimsy. For an album like this, they should've put more effort into the jacket, like a tip-on for instance. Luckily, the sound is crisp, no pops or clicks. It's perfect.
This album sounds fantastic! Lonnie Smith is truly amazing on the keys, and Nelson's sax is crystal clear. The bass is pretty solid too. I guess if I had to nitpick, the drums don't quite stand out as much as the rest. But since I'm only comparing it to the streamed version, maybe they were meant to be more subtle. I just wish they had a bit more punch. Overall, the sound quality and packaging are excellent. A very well-done re-release!

The audio quality on this pressing is fantastic. It's even better than I thought it would be. The disc is perfectly flat and spotless.
