To me, the first disk stands as his finest recorded work. Posthumously released, these tracks were initially intended for an album named My Sweetheart the Drunk. I often ponder how it might have turned out if Jeff had the chance to complete the album himself. My absolute favorite is Vancouver; the lyrics are stunning, and his composition and performance are truly exceptional. The second disk features a few alternate takes of songs from disk 1, with the remainder being private recordings. I'm not sure if he would have wanted these shared with the public. It feels like the record label just wanted to issue a double album, so they threw in a bunch of extra tracks to capitalize on his legendary status.
Wow, these sound fantastic! The quality of the flat pressing is top-notch. It's really dynamic, with a great sound stage, and the price is just right!
Totally agree, the audio quality is amazing! The material's top-notch too, particularly on sides A through D. If you're aiming to be the trendy one, you might wanna claim that sides E and F are incredibly awesome. Well, not exactly, I had a chuckle while listening to those...
This is absolutely incredible sound quality, grab this version and you're all set.
Sounds absolutely amazing. As flat as can be. Vinyl's dead quiet. Grab it words words words
