Bought it brand new. The vinyl is all warped, making it hard to play without parts repeating. Track A2 cuts off suddenly. Really let down by this and will send it back if possible.
The sound dynamics are fantastic, and the pressing is nearly perfect. There's a small pop here or there, but the mastering is superb. No distortion whatsoever, even though it could've happened with the dynamic brass, woodwinds, and clarinet. I own several Mingus albums, not all of which I love, but this one is a winner for me. Bernie really nailed the mastering on this one!
Great choice if you were a fan of the original album that dropped last year. The sound quality is top-notch but unfortunately, my copy arrived bent. A must-own for any Mingus enthusiast!
