Esse álbum é incrível demais, super recomendo! A qualidade da prensagem tá ótima, nenhuma música é ruim, aproveitamento total!
I've got a pristine copy of this album, but I'd say the sound's a bit lackluster. Doesn't quite pack a punch in the bass. Even when I turn it up. Killer tracks, though, just wish it had a bit more oomph.
This band is pure genius. This early album from '81 showcases their incredible songwriting and fantastic vocals. A touch of synth pop that eventually becomes their signature sound. Standout tracks include "I Can't Go For That", the title song, and "Mano". The pressing is top-notch.
One thing that really bugs me is when bonus tracks are out of order. Take this remaster, for instance. Whether you're looking at the album sequence or the single release, track 13 should definitely come before track 12. We just listened to the album version of 12, and then after just one more song, we hear it again as a remix. Come on, bonus tracks should always follow the album's order so we get a bit of a break between hearing the same track! The unreleased single mix of track 2 would've been a cool track 12, but they saved that for "The Box Set Series". And that UK single mix of track 1? As far as I know, you can only find it on the Japanese 12" Collection, and it's brickwalled to death on CD.
After the success of "Voices," Hall and Oates deliver "Private Eyes," an album that leans into that same pop vibe, like you heard in "Kiss on My List," and tosses in some synth for extra fun. It's a solid record, with the title track standing out as the clear winner—super catchy lyrics and Hall's vocals are on point. Other standouts include "I Can't Go for That," "Did it in a Minute," "Head Above Water," and "Looking for a Good Sign." I gotta say, though, Side A feels stronger than Side B. Side B takes a bit of a darker turn, while Side A keeps it light and breezy. Still, it's a great album, easy to find for a steal. Don't miss out on grabbing it!
