This version of the album sounds absolutely amazing. The soundstage is impressive (piano is perfectly centered and crisp β can't figure out why rvg couldn't consistently achieve this) and it's packed with energy and punch, plus some really nice details.
Timeless collection, this album's as stunning as the rest of Joe's work, deserves the classic touch!
The audio quality is fantastic. I'd heard that DMM records weren't highly regarded by collectors, but I spotted this one on eBay at a reasonable price and decided to give it a try. I must say, I'm truly pleased with my purchase. I remember reading that some folks think these DMM records can be a bit too bright, and while I'd agree that this record does have a bright sound, it's not excessively so. In my opinion, it sounds quite natural and well-balanced. This is my first DMM record, and based on this experience, I'd definitely consider buying another one down the line.
Alright, alright, I get it, it's been digitally remastered and not handled by Rudy or Kevin, but it's still a fantastic sounding record. I'd say go for it if you come across one at a fair price.
Outstanding performances featured on this album, along with the typical MM 2LP 45 audio quality. Some fantastic tracks composed by Joe Henderson and Kenny Dorham too.
