This reissue of Britney's album is on par with her other recent vinyl releases. It's almost excellent, but falls just short of being perfect. The audio quality is generally good, though there's a bit of degradation towards the middle of each side. There's also a misprint on both sides, causing some noticeable wobble in the tone arm, particularly on side B. The vinyl color is spot on, and the pressing is clean, but like the other reissues, the edges are quite rough. The jacket and inner sleeve are well-made with crisp artwork. These Britney reissues are definitely worth having, especially since they're the only vinyl versions available, but it's a shame they couldn't perfect them to create the ultimate collector's edition.
In my copy, Side B is off center, which really bugs me. I'm not happy they crammed 7 tracks onto one side of the vinyl. There's 12 songs in total! It should've been 6 on each side! The mastering's top-notch though, no surface noise, clicks or pops here.
I initially purchased this one from Britney's collection of vinyl records (the ones with swirls, clear, and splattered designs). "Oops...I Did It Again" sounds fantastic on vinyl, with a really impressive remaster. In my opinion, this version is the most stunning in terms of color, very eye-catching, and perfectly matches the original vibe. Listening to tracks like "Stronger," "What U See," and "Don't Go Knockin'" on LP just gives them an extra boost of energy :)
Alright Britney fans, feel free to disagree, but "Lucky" seems a bit weak towards the end... wouldn't it be better to move it and its intro to the start of side B? Apart from that, though, it's pretty solid. The cover is, yet again, too fragile for what's inside.
Awesome album! it’s so good to own a physical copy!
