IT'S BROKEN! It does spin without skipping, thankfully on all 4 sides, but sadly, it’s BENT, so much that my record player can’t even handle it without making awful noises! Seriously, don’t waste your money on GZ Media or Precision, steer clear of this re-release, just grab the original pressing, and you’ll be in much better shape.
I've noticed, as have others, that my version of this album has some noise issues. However, the distortion in certain parts of my pressing is even more problematic. For instance, the track "Elephant" seems to fluctuate in and out of clarity, with some sections sounding crisp and others appearing to be overblown. Unless the vinyl version was mixed differently (and poorly), it appears that this is a subpar quality pressing.
This version is absolutely fantastic. It's way better than the 33rpm when it comes to soundstage. The overall pressing quality is improved as well.
This might just be one of the filthiest pressings I've ever encountered - yes, it's the 45rpm version. Right out of the bargain-bin sleeve (if you can even call it that), the records appeared like they'd been left on the factory floor for half a year. Honestly, TI, haven't you guys figured out which pressing plant to pick?? The mastering on this release is top-notch, but it's a total waste, considering how much surface noise the vinyl has, even after multiple cleanings. Total disappointment 👎
Quite loud and harsh, especially Elephant, which sounds awful. It's overly distorted and cuts out all through the track. The rest is okay, noise aside. Might just be my copy, but I can't figure out why this was approved for release with such obvious distortion. And why'd it have to be Elephant, of all songs? :(
