Superb recording with tracks reminiscent of Babaluma. Notably, the third track spans three sides... so a concert lasting over 45 minutes. The sound is really good (very distinct from certain bootleg live recordings of the group).
Translated automatically,Unfathomable. Brilliantly timeless. Improvisation after improvisation unfolds, with each band member intuitively building upon the previous one, adding their unique touches. The resulting collages sound like they're beamed in from another world. Given the recording conditions—no fancy, modern equipment—these live tracks are surprisingly crisp and well-balanced. The vinyl record itself is pristine and visually stunning. Can't wait for the next live album, Live in Brighton 1975. A true "must-have" for any collection.
This is an awesome release, but I'm having some trouble with the download code. Every time I put in the details, it takes me to a 'three steps' page that wants to install a new Chrome browser, which I'm really not interested in. I've tried looking for other ways to download it, but I can't find any options at all.
Today's takeaway: a band's live performance can be a world apart from their recent studio work. I'm utterly hooked on the opening track, making it tough to play anything else from this concert. When the guitar and drums sync up, it's an unparalleled experience. This is easily my top buy in ages.
As many of us Can enthusiasts expected, this 1975 release post-Damo doesn't stray far from their usual mid-tempo dub groove. I'm neither shocked nor let down. The real treat here is the superb sound quality, and as a devoted fan, I'm just glad to have it.
