This record collection sounds fantastic, with zero surface noise when playing. The packaging is excellent and high-quality, but the original inner sleeves aren't the best for protecting the vinyl — taking them off for the first time made me wince. I'd definitely suggest giving the records a wet clean as they arrived a bit dirty from the factory. As for quality control, the first disc had some noticeable warping, but it doesn't affect playback. The minor surface marks don't either. All in all, it's a great package for Blur fans, offering an authentic and enjoyable live experience.
Sadly, I can't claim this record is fantastic, the audio is clear, nothing's too loud and I liked the tunes. It's alright, Blood Records has done way cooler pressings.
This album hits you like a brick to the face and needs a good scrub before you start listening. I totally agree with the last two reviews. I'm just gutted I wasn't there for this amazing show! Damon's voice is absolutely stunning here. Grab it if you're a Blur fan.
The box is fantastic and top-notch, and all three vinyls are completely noise-free. The audio quality is quite good, with some songs standing out more than others; for instance, "Out Of Time" has way more depth than "St Charles Square," but the whole recording oozes charm and it's turned out to be an amazing live album, it's gotta be played loud to truly enjoy it. I wish they'd used the picture disc images for the center labels though. A truly great listen, I'm a huge Blur fan.
Really enjoyed it. I visited on a Saturday, so I was after the double vinyl. The audio quality is pretty good and quite bass-heavy - the drums sound smooth and powerful. It's quite a quiet vinyl once you've given it a good wipe down. A tad disappointed that Stereotypes isn't on the double vinyl, as it's one of my favorite Blur tracks. Brilliant overall!
