As many have mentioned, this live album is absolutely stunning. The piano, drums, and vocals all shine brilliantly. I hesitated to buy it at first because there were only a few tracks available to preview before the release. I've been disappointed before when those one or two samples sounded amazing, but the rest of the album fell flat and just didn't cut it. That's not the case here, though—this is an outstanding recording. I can't figure out why modern live albums can't sound as good as something from 1975. I snagged a copy, and I'd recommend doing the same if you're on the fence. The collectors will definitely be after this Record Store Day release.
Incredible! This album deserved a gatefold cover. I was absolutely stunned by the sound quality of a performance from 48 years ago. Kudos to whoever handled the recording, remastering, and pressing. The interaction with the audience is brilliant. It's short and sweet, so it never gets old. Instead, it makes you feel like you're right there in the crowd. Billy's energy during this show is electrifying. You can sense the youthful passion of a young artist. It's raw, full of energy, intimate, and just plain amazing. New York State of Mind is phenomenal. I've grown accustomed to the more mature Billy Joel and his big arena concerts. This was such a delight. Even casual fans will love it. And why can't they make modern live shows sound this good? Can anyone explain that?!
Given its age, this record's pressing is superb. Sound's crisp and vibrant. Gorgeous.

Incredible vinyl pressing! The back-and-forth with the audience is a blast. Whoever handled the remastering for this record did an amazing job. It's fantastic to listen to a young Billy Joel absolutely killing it.
