Whether a review is positive, negative, or neutral, we always publish it. However, we screen every review to ensure it is authentic and free of profanity. These checks happen automatically, though a human occasionally steps in. We never pay for reviews.
I've got this digital version in FLAC, 16-bit, 44.1 kHz, put out by Qobuz.
This album's greatness is undeniable. I deducted a star solely because the mastering isn't as polished as a Kevin Gray / RTI / AP version, but it's still well worth the price. My copy has a touch of background noise, though that might just be tape hiss. The only issue I've noticed is in the opening bars of 'Ghetto Blues', where there's a glitch that sounds like a digital artifact. Maybe it's part of the original recording or just a defect in this pressing, as it's marked AAA on the sticker. The matrix has The Carvery etched into it, so it's not one of those bait and switch releases we've seen lately.
