At times, it's simpler to grab a lesser-known album from an artist's discography and give it a half-hearted compliment. But let's not do that here, as this is a fantastic record from a truly great musician. In the 80s era, this is his peak work, with the first 25 minutes being a marvelous, lively mix of songs, instruments, and styles. Some of these themes are explored further on the next four tracks, two of which became UK hits. However, the height of creativity for me is 'Orabidoo', starting with a children's toybox sound, featuring unusual drum patterns, vocoder vocals, and a gorgeous melodic finish. I've now owned this album four times.
Just like Mike Oldfield's 'Crises', this is yet another phenomenal album that I played countless times during my teenage years. I'm thrilled I picked up this copy today, as it not only takes me back to those amazing times but also sounds absolutely fantastic! The pressing is top-notch and sounds incredible on my sound system. Couldn't be happier with it!!!
