Wow, this one's got amazing sound quality. It's definitely one of MOV's top releases. I had the 2018 'we are vinyl' US version but it was a letdown, so I swapped it for this one, and it's like night and day better.
Steve Hoffman's redo truly shines with a more lively feel, and the instruments stand out more clearly. Crank up the volume, and it really glitters with a wider dynamic range. It's not quite as impressive as AF's take on the self-titled album, but it does open up the highs better than the original CD release.
While I can't fully assess the system, I can tell you it sounds fantastic, with a dynamic range and plenty of bass. MOV did a great job on this pressing. Side B is noticeably quieter, at least 6dB down, but the bass doesn't seem to drop at all.
This one's a beast! Picked it up for $7.99 way back when vinyl was a steal. Sounds awesome.
