The quality of my copy is fantastic. There's barely any surface noise. I was a bit let down that the stickers from the previous two presses weren't included, but I suppose it was to be expected from a general release.
Alright pressing. I was able to grab a copy when they first went on sale. It had some color issues and a bunch of surface noise. I guess I just had bad luck with this one.
I'm so thrilled to have snagged this on the day it came out ❤
year0001 ain't got no plans to make this or other bladee albums on vinyl hard to find, so don't go feeding the sharks, just hold tight !
This album is absolutely mesmerizing, with its plucked and synth melodies drawing you into a deeply emotional and trippy experience. Producers Yung Gud and Yung Sherman have outdone themselves, their work on this album is nothing short of magical. The pacing is flawless, starting strong with "who goes there," a track packed with heavy bass and instrumental hits that make Bladee's emotionless vocals stand out even more. It's an incredible listen from the get-go. Then there's "Lovenote," a stunning song with an ethereal buildup that leads to Bladee's auto-tuned voice and one of my all-time favorite beat drops. The bass in this track is just phenomenal, delivering that perfect dopamine rush that Bladee is known for. If you're new to Bladee, "Lovenote" and this album are the perfect starting points. The album also includes "Sugar," which has an even more intense buildup, making you feel like you're in a misty forest on a chilly autumn day. The vampire themes are strong here, with Bladee singing about the sweetness of his victim's blood. The climax of "Sugar" is incredible, with bass so powerful it makes your earphones shake your head. Every element of this song is perfect, Bladee's vocals complementing the instrumental flawlessly. Sure, some might say he's not a great singer, but I'd argue he knows exactly what to do on a beat, no matter how tough or tear-jerking it is. Speaking of tear-jerking, "skins" is a haunting track with just a slowed-down guitar, plucked synth, and Bladee's vocals that sound like he's on the verge of tears. It's an unpopular opinion, but "eversince" is a beautiful album, and in my book, it's worth a solid 10.10/10.
