Initially, the sound quality is fantastic on the first few tracks of each side, but as you get closer to the label, the audio starts to degrade, becoming quite compressed and distorted. The vinyl does have a bit of noise between tracks, but it's not too noticeable while the music is playing. On the visual side, the purple smoke is absolutely stunning.
Designed for cranking up the volume, super enjoyable to listen to. Barely any pops, hardly any surface noise. Could've used a gatefold, but the disc looks awesome. Craft usually delivers quality stuff. Great pick for any Evanescence enthusiast.
In my view, the tracks on this album (mind you, this is just my personal preference) all seemed to blend together. It lacked the unique character found in the first two studio albums. Only two songs stood out to me, 'What You Want' and 'Swimming Home'. The rest of the album felt like one extended track, and apart from those two, I couldn't even tell when one song ended and another began unless I checked the tracklist on my computer. Not a fan.
The sound quality of this pressing is quite good, and it's a significant upgrade from the previous one. However, my copy has a noticeable warp and a skip on the track "What You Want." The warp doesn't affect the playback or cause any off-key notes, but it's very, very evident. Regarding the skip, I have a buddy who also owns this album and has a skip on one of his songs too. So, just a heads up, some copies might have skips.
Sound quality is fantastic, it's got a really smooth and nice but also punchy and loud sound! There's some inner groove distortion that's noticeable but it's honestly no big deal. Would absolutly reccomend this pressing!
