The hues are quite pleasant. I must admit, I'm rather fond of the yellow shade. It seems to symbolize the southern regions of Arrakis and the tribes' vibrant colors. The issue lies in the pressing quality. There are numerous irritating pops, particularly on side C. This problem was also present in the black edition, which I returned and replaced with this colored version. Unfortunately, the issue persists. However, it's not consistent, so I'm hopeful that a thorough vacuum cleaning will resolve it.
Absolutely adore the music, but this is such a ridiculous way to package a double LP. I don't want to see those low-res character faces, and I definitely don't want a gatefold that's longer than my arm. The plastic sleeves are a nice touch, though.
The five stars go to the music, the physical copy deserves just three. After the mess of Part One releases, this is a big improvement but there are still some odd issues from a giant company like WB; the cover slip is too flimsy, the images are a bit blurry, the mirrored inner prints are just a waste, oversized and wrinkled anti-static bags show a lack of care, and the worst part, the UNFINISHED VINYL EDGES, they needed a gentle sanding and a good clean. I get the reddish golden vinyl choice but the yellowish one (???) a clear with black swirl like the other edition would fit the Harkonnen world, a transparent blue, a silvery for the Corrinos...I dunno, so many options instead of that yellow.
The initial vinyl record plays nicely, however, the second one has a bit of noise on the opening track of the C side.
Gorgeous vinyls and artwork, neat packaging, but poor pressing :/
