The title of this album is quite puzzling since only four tracks from it were featured in the TV special "Cucumber Castle." Another track, "I Was A Child," appeared on the official worldwide release of "Cucumber Castle," although it credits the Bee Gees as Barry Gibb and Maurice Gibb on the cover. This album is quite special as it was released during the time when Robin Gibb had left the group to pursue a solo career, making this a unique and rare find. Apart from its confusing title, what I truly appreciate about this album is that it compiles four outstanding country tracks by the Bee Gees from that era. "I'll Kiss Your Memory" (Mono Version), "Sweetheart," "Railroad," and "Don't Forget to Remember Me" are all tracks I've always been particularly fond of. I also really enjoy the front and back cover photos of Barry and Maurice, which I find quite cool. However, I still can't understand why Bertelsmann Club and Polydor chose the title "Why Songs of Cucumber Castle" for this album.
