My one has a bent dish but it sounds awesome. RTI is known these days for having warped dishes.
Great, clear sound. However, I couldn't figure out where it says if it's mono or stereo.
This reissue from Craft Riverside (CR00357), mastered by Kevin Gray at Cohearent (KPG@CA) and pressed at RTI, is absolutely stunning. It offers crisp, intimate sound with beautiful depth. The surfaces are quiet, separation is excellent, and the presentation is truly three-dimensional. The soundstage is more profound than it is wide, with instruments layered naturally and effortlessly. The tone is perfect, and Chet’s voice seems to hover in the space between the musicians—present and human, yet not overly prominent. It's a sophisticated, late-night listen of reference quality and a must-have for anyone seeking this album in its finest modern analog form. Highly recommended!
I'm absolutely in love with this album! It's definitely one of my top favorites. I'd love it even more if the sound was a bit clearer, but that's my only minor issue. The tracks that really stand out to me are Old Devil Moon, Everything Happens to Me, and Do It the Hard Way.
