Perfect album that's on a really awesome new anny pressing. Sound is incredible, zero problems!
Run Out Groove has truly amazed me once more. There's hardly any surface noise at all. The dynamics are so spacious, like you're in a grand chapel. The instrument separation is just spot on. I absolutely love how the keyboard takes center stage when it kicks in, it's so intense. There's so much detail that I've never noticed before, it's like hearing it for the first time all over again.
Is there anything left to say about this album? 5/5 Absolute masterpiece
Absolutely no surface noise, no problems here with this copy. It sounds fantastic.
The album kicks off with the eerie intro "Machine screw." It's followed by bleak black metal that gives you goosebumps. Peter Steele's voice dominates here, as does his distinctive bass. I'd particularly like to highlight the three tracks "Christian woman," "Black No. 1," and "We hate everyone." "Black No. 1" really grabbed me. But it's not just the longer pieces that impress; the short interludes "Fay wray come out and play," "Dark side of the womb," and "3.0.I.F.," as well as the punky and provocative "Kill all the white people," also bring a genuinely dark atmosphere. The lyrics are noteworthy too, tackling themes like suicide ("Bloody kisses (a death in the family)") and broken friendships ("Too late: Frozen" and "Blood & fire"). A little tip: This record is best listened to on rainy days or in the fall, as it's sure to hit even harder then.
