This "Fame" re-release has fantastic sound quality - it's punchy, crisp, and has a rich, full bass. It definitely beats out the newer re-releases. The only downside is the artwork's been scaled back.

Regrettably, Dieter Dierks (engineer, producer) and Steve Fallone (mastering) fell short with the follow-up to "Lovedrive," delivering an album that's sonically lacking. Unlike "Lovedrive," which had the same production team, this one sounds like it's being played through a cheap AM radio. The tracks by Klaus Meine and the Schenker brothers are fantastic, though. It's pretty disappointing, to be honest.
